Thee books suggests you ready itineraries - so, you don’t have to think too much. The problem that it in many case it lacks info on budget accomodations and on public transportation options. I’m used more to LP style. But again, the book has a lot of info on the island and it looks like this is the only modern guide book you can find about Madeira.
